	Accommodation centre plans dropped

	A written ministerial statement was today issued by the UK Government, confirming that plans for the accommodation centre for asylum seekers at Bicester have been dropped. The Immigration Minister also confirmed that "Neither will we proceed with accommodation centres at any other potential site." The statement confirms that the Government is considering a "secure removal centre" at the Bicester site.
